  1. When did your athletic career begin?I was always active as a kid but moved away from fitness when I started working and didn’t pick it up again until I reached my mid 30’s (and 200 plus lbs!)
  2. What adversity have you had to overcome as athlete?I’ve been fortunate to have been relatively healthy so my biggest challenge has probably been managing to balance work, family and fitness.
  3. How has working out impacted your life?No question working out gives me energy and boosts my mood.  I believe it makes me better at my job, as a husband, father and friend.
  4. How often do you train and for how long?I like to pick an event every year that excites and scares me.  Having a big goal race helps me stay motivated and committed to each individual workout. It also helps to have like-minded people to work out with.  I’m fortunate to have a great group of people to ride with who push me hard on the bike and help make the toughest ride fun.
  5. What is your number #1 fitness tip?I like to pick an event every year that excites and scares me.  Having a big goal race helps me stay motivated and committed to each individual workout. It also helps to have like-minded people to work out with.  I’m fortunate to have a great group of people to ride with who push me hard on the bike and help make the toughest ride fun.

Lorne’s take – I first met Scott close to 20 years ago.  We both work in the same industry. Scott’s a great guy and obviously a great athlete.  I definetly concur with what he had to say about having like-minded people to work out with.
