Having been in sales for over 25 years, one thing I learned early on is that having a nice smile is good for business. People gravitate towards people who smile and the 5 tips below are my personal favourites for whitening those choppers.
1. Drink your coffee through a straw
It sounds crazy but once you get used to it, you won’t want to drink your coffee any other way. It’s a great way to get that morning caffeine buzz without the stain. If you’re fitness buff like me you’ve probably noticed that caffeine can amp up workout performance. According to healthline.com a single dose of caffeine can significantly improve exercise performance, focus and fat burning. I really like stainless steel straws when drinking my coffee.
Bonus Tip – Drink Some water before and after your coffee to further limit staining and keep your body hydrated.
2. Oil Pulling
Oil pulling is another great remedy to whiten your teeth. You can use a variety of oils but my favourite is coconut oil.How’s it work?
Step 1 – Measure one tablespoon of oil.
Step 2 – Swish it around in your mouth for 15 minutes, being careful not to swallow any.
Step 3 – Rinse your mouth well with water before eating or drinking anything.
Bonus Tip – Do it after your morning cup of coffee and drink a tall glass of water and you’ve got a powerful elixir.

In addition to flossing, I’m a big fan of water flossing. It takes about a minute and your dentist will love you. Water flossing can be a touch messy but your smile is worth it.
